Westin turns 9

November 2011.  Westin turned 9. He has changed so much in the last year. I am not sure why he used to fight with Rawlin so much (competition maybe??lol) but the interesting thing is Westin all of a sudden understands him.

Westin and Rawlin are such good buddies now. I think it might have a lot to do with Sharing a room. When Chase turned 14 in Dec. we decided to let Westin and Rawlin try sharing a room. I was pretty nervous about this since they always fought, but I thought it was worth a try because Westin was very jealous that I always had to lay by Rawlin so now I spend a few minutes in their room with W and R until they are almost asleep. I should mention that Until November Rawlin was sleeping in my bed because I was too impatient to lay by him. Grandma Muir stayed with them in November while I was in TN and layed by Ralwin everynight and broke him of the habit of sleeping in my bed. Thank YOu Thank You Grandma. Well now bedtime is not something I dread. It is actually something that I can do with out freaking out. ahhhh. I type this as I sit on their floor waiting for them to fall asleep. I got this handy dandy laptop for Christmas, Jeff started a new job and got a company one, so I inherited this one. as well as an android phone. Life is pretty good at the moment. I am hoping I will be able to get caught up on our family blog pretty soon if I keep going at this rate.

His favorite toys are some of the following items, his army sets, complete with guns, tans etc.
Star wars and pirates of the Carribean legos, and his animal book.  It is a binder from National Geographic for Kids.  I let him earn the fold out card about all the animals.  He got a larger pack for his birthday.  He loves to read about the animals so much.  I have a really hard time getting him to read books and earning points for Accelerated reading program, but he will read about these animals all day, everyday.  I figure he reads. He likes it.  He gets straight A's and his teachers love him.  So no biggie.   Westin has be come mister Anti-social, I don't want to go anywhere no matter what.  Jeffs mom laughs and says, hmm wonder where he gets that from?  By the end of the school day he is socially exhausted. Is that a real thing?  He just wants to stay home.  We can't even bribe him to go anywhere.
